The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting and supporting the Center Director with the operation and instructional leadership of the program. Responsibilities:

• Assist the Center Director with all daily operations of the center, including staffing, scheduling, implementation of the curriculum, and accounting, as needed
• Ensure that all current standards are met for licensing, NAEYC, Parent Aware and more
• Assist with orientation of new staff, as well as leadership and mentoring of current staff
• Cultivate positive relationships with the Center Director, staff, families and children served
• Willingness to step into other positions within the center as necessary, including subbing in a classroom, cooking and more
• Maintain and increase student enrollment and conduct tours, if required by the Center Director
• Undergo and maintain all trainings required by licensing
• Maintain child and staff files

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Rule 3
• At least 21 years of age
• Must be lead teacher qualified
• At least 2 years lead teaching experience
• At least 1 year childcare management experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills, organized, and detail-oriented

This is a full-time position with 40 scheduled hours, and overtime paid at time and a half as needed.
