The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting and supporting the Center Director with the operation and instructional leadership of the program. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Center Director with all daily operations of the center, including staffing, scheduling, implementation of the curriculum, and accounting, as needed
- Ensure that all current standards are met for licensing, NAEYC, Parent Aware and more
- Assist with orientation of new staff, as well as leadership and mentoring of current staff
- Cultivate positive relationships with the Center Director, staff, families and children served
- Willingness to step into other positions within the center as necessary, including subbing in a classroom, cooking and more
- Maintain and increase student enrollment and conduct tours, if required by the Center Director
- Undergo and maintain all trainings required by licensing
- Maintain child and staff files
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Rule 3
- At least 21 years of age
- Must be lead teacher qualified
- At least 2 years lead teaching experience
- At least 1 year childcare management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills, organized, and detail-oriented

This is a full-time position with 40 scheduled hours, and overtime paid at time and a half as needed.
