The Assistant Director of Admissions primarily will be responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of prospective students for Metropolitan College’s Graduate degree and certificate programs.


  • Responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of prospective students for Metropolitan College’s Graduate degree and certificate programs.
  • Conduct outreach through various communication tools (phone, email, text) with potential students that have inquired or applied for MET’s graduate or certificate programs.
  • Following a consultative service approach, learn the educational needs and career goals of prospective students in order to effectively provide information, answer questions, assist with the application process and ultimately facilitate matriculation for successful applicants.
  • Participate in recruitment strategy implementation and planning; working closely with the Admissions & Enrollment Services team, Enrollment & Student Success, academic program directors, and marketing staff.
  • Work in a team approach to execute a strategic recruitment plan to achieve graduate enrollment goals through coordinated, planned, and timely practices.
  • Track all communications through proficient use of CRM.
  • Work under the direction of the Assistant Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Services to implement strategic communication, outreach, and follow-up with prospective students and applicants.
  • Maintain thorough and current knowledge base of the academic program(s) requirements and admission issues for the designated programs as well as a strong knowledge of the admission program requirements for all MET graduate programs.
  • Develop and maintain excellent collegial working relationship with academic department faculty and staff in order to facilitate an efficient admissions operation.
  • Monitor accepted students to answer questions and facilitate matriculation.
  • Work to facilitate the hand-off of matriculating students to the academic departments to ensure a smooth and seamless transition from the student’s point of view.
  • Participate in the creation and presentation of webinars and on-campus information sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions management team on strategies for recruitment, enrollment, and staff growth and retention.
  • Work collaboratively with academic department managers on shared work across units.
  • Manage a team of Graduate Admissions Advisors and conduct bi-weekly individual & team meetings and annual evaluations.
  • Review numbers (phone/email/apps/etc.), and find pain points/stress for each individual reportee.
  • Manage in an effort to maximize work & create greater accountability, but also to highlight and celebrate successes of work on a frequent basis.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of direct experience.
