POSITION: Assistant Director of Finance

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Accounting

The Role:
The Assistant Director of Finance is responsible for assisting the Vice President of Accounting with month-end close duties and financial reporting and analysis. Support the SVP of Hospitality and his onsite team with monthly financial reviews and analyses as well.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounting records in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare reconciliations, roll forwards, etc.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Review business unit operational results with hospitality management. Interpret and communicate financial results within the standard corporate financial reporting package.
- Identify and assist in streamlining processes and procedures as it relates to hospitality accounting, working with income audit team, etc.
- Work with onsite accounting team on implementation of new property management system and tours and activities systems.
- Record fixed asset and capital projects into FAS software. Roll forward fixed assets and accumulated depreciation monthly.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess attention to detail, positive attitude, oral and written communication skills and solid decision-making skills
- Must have a strong passion for exemplary customer service both internal and external.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting- Minimum 4 years working in an accounting department
- Experience working in an office environment a plus.
- Experience in fast-paced administrative environment in a hospitality setting preferred
Language Skills:
Ability to present yourself in a clear and articulate manner, read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
