Job Summary:
All Front Desk Receptionists in the Main Office of Swan Bay Resort & Marina will be the first point of contact for all guests. The Front Desk Receptionists are responsible for welcoming all guests into the Park and greeting those that visit for various reasons. As an Assistant Manager, you would be responsible for assisting the Front Desk Manager in overseeing the daily operations and managing a full team of receptionists. Additionally, you will create reservations and handle phone calls with a professional manner. This position requires the ability to handle emergencies in a timely and effective manner while simultaneously maintaining office operations with effective communication. You will also assist The Rift Boutique, our retail store located in the Main Office, by helping and ringing up customers. This is a Full-Time, Year-Round position.
Pay is based upon experience and begins at $17-$20/hr to start, with benefits. Assistant Front
Desk Manager hours may range from 8am-8pm, 7 days a week, so flexibility in your schedule is a must.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
● Representing the Resort as the first point of contact to greet and welcome guests
● Being fully knowledgeable in all Resort offerings to assist customers appropriately
● Assisting with creating work schedules, training and managing employees through overseeing the daily workload of the team with management (daily checklists, etc.)
● Assisting with carrying out administrative tasks such as record keeping and filing of paperwork
● Becoming fully knowledgeable in our online booking system (RMS) to help train new employees and make changes to Reservations as needed
● Creating, Modifying and/or Canceling Reservations through our online booking system
(RMS)
● Assisting with managing all group reservations and maintaining any group rates
● Preparing daily/weekly arrival packets and boat/watercraft rental contracts in preparation of check-in
● Check-in and Check-out guests as needed, providing them with information about the
Resort and accurately answering any questions they may have
● Answering & forwarding incoming phone calls for all departments
● Signing in visitors and completing guest passes that are kept in a logbook
● Running daily Arrival and Departure reports
● Assisting customers in making purchases at The Rift Boutique
● Completing sales transactions via handling cash, credit cards, receipts, etc.
● Counting cash drawers at the end of your shift
● Keeping inventory stocked and accounted for; notifying management of low stock
● Completing any additional tasks asked for by management
Essential Qualifications:

● Excellent communication skills
● At least 3-5 years of Front Desk/Receptionist/Clerical experience is required.
● A familiarity with POS (point of sale) systems and basic computer skills are preferred.
● A drive to work in a fast-paced environment, the ability to quickly switch between tasks and multi-task are required.
● The ability to count register drawers and give/receive cash and card payments is
required.
● Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Education: High School or equivalent is preferred.
Position:
