Assistant General Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Manage staff during shifts
  • Ensure that the by the glass wine list is stocked and up to date
  • Ensure that all beers taps are up to date
  • Keep inventory of retail food items, beers and wine, and inform the General Manager of items that need to be ordered.
  • Manage payroll during their assigned shift and supervising restaurant staff performance.
  • Research new wholesale wine, beer and food retail items and coordinate with the General Manager and Leadership to bring products that fit the brand.
  • Calculate future needs in restaurant supplies and equipment and place orders, as needed. Including but not limited to paper bags, to-go boxes and utensils, non-alcoholic beverages, napkins, paper towels, etc.
  • Manage and store vendors’ checks and invoices, input new inventory and stock shelves as needed
  • Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
  • Prepare shift schedules in coordination with the General Manager
  • Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues
  • Arrange for new employees’ proper onboarding (scheduling, trainings and ordering uniforms)
  • Assist in wine and beer training for the staff.
  • Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
  • Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus
  • Others duties as assigned by Management



Requirements:
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, additional certification in hospitality is a plus
  • 2-5 years supervisor experience in hospitality industry (Preferred)
  • Be familiar with wine and beer
  • Upbeat customer service driven focus
  • Growth minded individual that is sales focused
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Communication and team management abilities
  • Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends)
