Assistant Maintenance Technicians are responsible for assisting the Lead Maintenance in maintaining and enhancing the value of the apartment community. Assistant Maintenance Technicians often interact more with the residents than any other Team Member. Their role in providing residents comfort and functionality is often the single greatest reason for resident retention. Assistant Maintenance Technicians must always portray a professional, courteous, and "We Care" attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum one 2 years of experience in hands-on general maintenance (i.e., plumbing, electrical, carpeting, painting, etc.).
• Must have knowledge of A/C troubleshooting and repair (EPA cert not required.)
• Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances.
• Ability to support and contribute within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be pleasant, cheerful and helpful to residents when working resident service requests.
• Respond to resident service requests for repair and maintenance in a timely manner.
• Assist in make ready repairs and improvements of vacant apartment homes to meet move-in deadlines.
• Perform various apartment community maintenance and/or preventative maintenance as requested.
• Move or transfers heavy objects, appliances and equipment from storage area to apartment homes (or vise-versa) as requested.
• Assist in keeping the grounds and common areas neat and free of litter. Rakes, sweeps, shovels, power washes and picks up trash as circumstances warrant.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Lead Maintenance or Property Manager.
• Perform on-call emergency service as required.
• Work closely with other Team Members to effectively represent the quality and professionalism of Legacy REI Group.
• Represent Legacy REI Group in a professional manner at all times.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
