Job Title: Assistant Manager

Department: Store Front

Reports To: Store Manager

Position Overview:

The Assistant Store Manager supports the daily operations efforts of the Store Manager. This individual is available to help with management duties as required, providing guidance and feedback to Sales Consultants, updating inventory and logs, and performing other tasks as required. The Assistant Store Manager maintains clear communication with the floor staff and customers, creating a professional and exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Assists Store Manager with all store functions
• Creates a welcoming environment by greeting and assisting customers
• Responds quickly to customer inquiries and needs
• Demonstrates desired behaviors to staff including sales techniques, handling difficult and/or complicated sales, cash management, inventory, and customer follow-up
• Updates sales totals and prepares cash deposits
• Verifies store appearance meets Ajoya standards
• Enters sales information into cash ledger; reconciles cash discrepancies
• Checks pricing, signage, promotions, and displays for accuracy
• Enforces all company policies and procedures, including health, code of conduct, safety, and security
• Maintains accurate and up to date knowledge of products and MED compliance regulations
• Assists with inventory management
• Ensures the store is opened and/or closed in accordance with established policy and procedures and state regulations
• Manages and inspires internal staff to deliver the highest level of customer service
• Presents solution based problem-solving ideas to the management team
• Receives and responds to internal communication
• Stays up to date on daily/weekly offers and specials within Ajoya and informs sales consultants
• Operates the store within all compliance regulations provided by the MED
• Reviews sales and sales goals to ensure that the team is on track to meet all expectations

Requirements:

• Current MED badge
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in a retail management environment
• Excellent customer communication and service skills
• Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills
• Passionate about serving the Colorado cannabis community
• Strong accounting, math and computer skills
• Must be willing to submit to a background check
• Cannabis POS and METRC proficiency
• Must be willing to work weekends on occasion
• Prior experience within the cannabis community and/or health and wellness industries is a plus.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed or required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
