Nekter Laveen Village Assistant Manager

Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager for Nekter Juice Bar in Laveen Village is responsible for the overall operations, customer experience, and execution of brand excellence in a store. The Assistant Manager is responsible for maximizing the sales and profits of the store while also maintaining an exceptional level of customer service by developing strong store shift leaders and team members. In this position, it’s critical to pay attention to detail, inventory levels, and run the operations per the tasks outlined below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Has concrete knowledge of the POS system and ability to utilize functions to better support sales and labor costs. Scrupulously follows Nekter Juice Bar cash-handling policies and procedures and ensures that they are followed by all (through conducting audits, counting cash, auditing team member files, etc.). Ensures compliance with Federal, State and County laws and regulations. Opening and closing administrative duties are executed consistently and accurately. Ability to onboard new team members with the requirements put forth by Nekter. Ability to document write ups and separations. Adheres to all company food safety, cash handling and operational policies and procedures and ensuring that all team members are incompliance as well.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring incoming staff complies with company policy
• Training staff to follow Nekter procedures
• Maintaining safety and food quality standards
• Keeping customers happy and handling complaints
• Organizing schedules
• Keeping track of employees’ hours
• Recording payroll data
• Ordering food, linens, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations
• Supervising daily shift operations
• Ensuring all end of day cash outs are correctly completed
• Coordinating daily front- and back-of-house operations
• Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste
• Appraising staff performance
• Interviewing/recruiting new employees
• Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Associate in restaurant management or hospitality preferred but not required.
• High school diploma with a minimum 4 years of management experience
• Previous restaurant experience
• Prior work as an Assistant Manager or Supervisor
• Success with customer service
• Training in food safety
• Experience with long shifts
• Financial literacy
• Ability to keep inventory organized
• Ability to stand for extended periods (4-8 hrs). May also require some bending and lifting a up to 50lbs.
• Valid Food Handlers certification.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
