DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Mental Health Department provides recovery-oriented services, such as WRAP, Personal Medicine, Power Statement and Advanced Directives. All service delivery is based on the department’s guiding principles which include a focus on consumer strengths and choice.

The Program Coordinator is the key individual responsible for the overall operation of the CHIPP Assisted Living Program, which include staff supervision; proper maintenance of required records, as well as close coordination with other services. Because of the nature of this Agency, it is essential that the Program Coordinator believe in the philosophy of the Agency as well as be able to implement programs that are viable and essential to the consumer’s need.

CRITICAL ELEMENTS:

1) Staff Supervision: Responsible for participating in the interviewing process of prospective staff and to supervise the staff necessary to operate the program. Will impart the overall philosophy of the Agency to the individual staff members as part of a continuous training process. Establishes work plans with each staff member they directly supervise, as needed, in helping the individual become a productive employee.

2) Program Operations: Responsible for attaining goals set for programs’ growth and development and for the scheduling of the programs offered. Maintains a consumer enrollment that will ensure the financial solvency of the program. Will make contacts with referral sources as well as provide good public relations to the community. Will coordinate property maintenance of all sites with the Bell property management team..

3) Records Maintenance: Responsible for the maintenance of census records and submission of data for billing reports. Consumer files and records will be maintained in good order. The program must meet the requirements of all applicable state and local funding bodies. Review the staff records, including vacation time, sick leave, holiday time, flex schedules and expense records and submits them to the Director of Mental Health Services. Complete personnel evaluations on all direct subordinates and review those of any other program staff.

4) Direct Services: Responsible for in-taking and assessing consumers appropriate for the program and will ensure that the appropriate and most cost effective services are provided to the consumers. Ensure individuals receive other services provided by the Agency as well as those provided by other agencies, as is indicated by the consumer need and interest.

5) Administrative Services: Assists in the preparation of all program narratives and proposals. Participates in the Agency administrative process by participating in Team Management Meetings, committee work and coordination with other Agency management personnel.

ADDITIONAL ELEMENTS:

1) Participate in Agency and program activities.

2) Attend staff meetings as scheduled

3) Follow and support Agency philosophy, policies and procedures.

4) Other duties as assigned by the Director of Mental Health Services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science or 4 (four) years Human Service experience; 21 (twenty-one) years old; must have had license for 2 years, valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License and reliable transportation. Pennsylvania State Background. Check. E.O.E.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,080.00 per year
