LOCATION: 17421 Telegraph Rd. Detroit, MI
POSITION SUMMARY: As needed, the employee in this position will provide project assistance for the Healthy Families America (HF A) Wayne program. The employee will assist with the production and development of any of the program's Continuous Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance, and HF A needs, especially, project related materials and handouts as well as organize, maintain, and input all Continuous Quality Improvement and HF A project materials for dissemination and review by the expected delivery dates.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Performs duties that may include)
- Provides word processing when completing/ updating the Quality Improvement Team Charter, including completion of the Aim statement, the scope of the project, identification of the customers, documentation of the successes, creating storyboards, affinity diagrams, fishbone diagrams, histograms and handouts.
- Type and collate Continuous Quality Improvement/ HF A policies and procedures for new processes as needed.
- Establish a working relationship with other agencies to work collaboratively together on Continuous Quality Improvement projects.
- Maintains a database/spreadsheet of all HF A and Continuous Quality Improvement projects either completed or in progress.
- Maintains a database/spreadsheet of all materials used to work on or complete HF A and Continuous Quality Improvement projects.
- Compiles, disseminates, and updates projects and information as required.
- Makes appropriate changes and document information as appropriate.
- Collaborates with the HF A Program Manager and the CQI Program Coordinators from MPHI and MDHHS as required.
- Completes a monthly summary of all project/ program information as needed.
- Attends meetings pertaining to CQI/ HF A program as requested.
- Maintains current knowledge of CQI/ HF A program tools.
- Provides CQI/HFA program reports as requested.
- Provides data entry for CQI and HFA as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- The candidate has a proven ability to be an effective team member.
JOB PREREQUISITES: Candidate has:
- Excellent verbal, and written communication skills, and time management.
- Skilled in computers and software programs including Microsoft Word and Excel and Access.
- Knowledge of the Internet and the use of Web forms and Web-based programs.
- Knowledge of modem office practices and procedures.
- Skilled in filing and maintaining office records.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to learn assigned new tasks.
- Possess a valid Michigan driver' License and have valid Michigan State Auto Insurance.
- Must possess reliable transportation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of an associate degree is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- The candidate will have completed courses in typing, computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office Suite.
- The candidate must have one year's worth of documented experience in working with the public and working in an office setting.
- The candidate will have familiarity with health programs as well as complex application forms and processes.
- Bilingual in English, Arabic, or Spanish is preferred; but not required.
NDEPENDENT ACTION: Requires the ability to work independently.

SALARY: 16.00 Hourly
