About Construction Management - AECOM Tishman

Since 1898, AECOM Tishman has managed the construction of some of the world’s most iconic buildings. We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. We provide expert consultation and guidance in all phases of a building project, from master-planning, preconstruction options evaluation and decision-making, to design review, estimating, and scheduling, through procurement, construction and occupancy. AECOM Tishman’s staff manages all consultants and contractors on a project, representing client interests throughout the project cycle. In total, AECOM Tishman has built more than 900 million square feet – including the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center in New York.


Job Description


AECOM Tishman
is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager with experience in Estimating to support construction projects in Philadelphia and Philadelphia Metropolitan area.

Job Description:

  • Under moderate supervision assists the Project Management team with management administration on a moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a large size and scope project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks.
  • Employee receives moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor. Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training. Employee handles some unusual situations independently.
  • Independently perform construction estimates
  • May interface with design team.
  • May work closely with BIM team and use modelling software.
  • May interact with Superintendents to address project questions/issues.
  • Assists with and monitors change orders
  • May assist with regulatory compliance and financial reporting
  • Review project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract.
  • Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate.
  • Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed.
  • May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies.

Qualifications


Minimum Requirements
:

  • BA/BS Engineering and 2 years of relevant construction project management experience OR demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Must possess the ability to operate a motor vehicle on construction project site(s) to support project and safety task assignments and scope of work.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS Engineering, Construction Management.
  • Experience in Pre-Con phase of construction.
  • Experience in Construction Estimating, Bidding and descoping.
  • Experience with Bluebeam
  • Experience/knowledge in electrical/mechanical, data center construction.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • This position will be required to various client sites within the Philadelphia Metropolitan area.
  • For positions with driving responsibilities, Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of AECOM’s background check process to ensure compliance with the Company’s driving standards.
