Job Summary and Qualifications

Summary of Key Responsibilities: The Finance AVP provides both operational and financial support to ensure successful delivery of Sarah Cannon business objectives. The leader reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Sarah Cannon on all strategic and tactical matters related to budget management, operating results, forecasting needs, analysis of acquisition opportunities, and analysis to support healthcare reimbursement and vendor negotiations. The Finance AVP is a key member of the Service Line leadership team providing insight and thought leadership on the effectiveness and direction of the Oncology Service Line. The leader possesses excellent communication skills that enable collaboration with CFO’s across the HCA facilities, markets, and Divisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Partners with Oncology Service Line leadership in the formulation of business strategies and plans to effectively and efficiently drive service line growth
• Establishes reporting structures to manage the effectiveness of service line programs and ongoing operations
• Provides analysis and insight on service line reimbursements to recommend alternative payment models or support negotiation strategies
• Lead and develop business cases to guide investment decisions including incremental resources, potential partnerships, and asset acquisition
• Establishes collaborative partnerships with the finance team throughout the Sarah Cannon network
• Proactively identifies opportunities reduce operating expenses in the delivery of service line products and services
• Effectively leverages the accounting and reporting capabilities Finance leadership team on developing insight from reported data and identification of cross business unit opportunities
• Lead and develop colleagues required to deliver assigned responsibilities

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelors Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• 7 years experience or more of progressive accounting responsibilities
