The Textron Systems Associate Marketing and Communications Business Partner will support marketing and communications strategies, tactics and execution for designated domains (business lines) that are part of the company’s comprehensive portfolio of capabilities. Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Marketing, this position is part of the Marketing and Events team, which along with Strategic Communications and Business Development comprise Textron Systems’ Global Military Sales & Strategy organization. This position is located in Hunt Valley, MD, Williamsport, PA or Wilmington, MA.
As an Associate Marketing and Communications Business Partner, you will work collaboratively with the Marketing and Events and Strategic Communications teams to create compelling campaigns and content that support domain strategies and growth. You will have an opportunity to build core technical functional skills within marketing and communications, while also maturing your professional skills including project management and execution, business partnership, relationship building, work prioritization, intrapersonal communication, etc.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support the development of marketing and communications plans and budgets for designated domains/product lines in collaboration with marketing, communication, sales, and domain team members to ensure alignment with business strategies
- Initiate and execute projects as assigned
- Support the execution of marketing campaigns, collateral development, and ad materials. Coordinate video and photo shoots and the development of multimedia content. Secure proper internal and external approvals as required.
- Collaborate with shared services resources on the development of strategic communications materials
- Support planning of, and represent the company at, industry conferences, trade shows, and community and company events
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Willingness to learn how to think strategically and develop marketing and communications plans to support business strategy
- Must have knowledge in earned, social, paid and owned media including creative, advertising, events, customer communications, internal, social/online media, materials and content for print, multi-media and online
- Must understand how business functions can work together and learn how to best utilize shared services to maximize ROI
- Ability to successfully manage projects and execute plans
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or Public Relations
- 1-3 years marketing and/or communications experience across multiple disciplines.
