Mandatory Certification:CSM Overall Job Purpose The Application Delivery Manager is a pivotal role across the team. The role holder will plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design, development, testing and implementation of new, or existing, software applications. The role holder will manage and motivate multi-functional teams taking responsibility for resourcing, workload and performance management of the team, to ensure delivery against time and budget. Key Accountabilities & approximate time split (%) where applicable Project Definition and Planning 20% ? Responsible for shaping of software and/or hardware technology designs into an integrated delivery plan ? Responsible for scoping, planning, budgeting and forecasting application development initiatives. ? Responsible for application delivery resourcing and workload within component / project. Project Management 80% ? Manage a team of software designers, business analyst and testers ? To Lead and deliver large, complex projects with multiple technology suppliers ? Accountable for maintaining the appropriate risk and governance controls to enable successful delivery ? Responsible for managing stakeholder relationships, influencing and managing key stakeholders to ensure delivery is aligned with business case throughout the lifecycle ? To ensure that all third party resources are integrated into the application development team. ? Responsible for effective management of financial processes and controls to ensure project budgets are effectively managed ? Collaborating with the application support areas to ensure smooth transition of applications into their BAU environments. Person Specification Competencies & Technical skills ? Hands on experience in application of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) ? Knowledge with different project delivery methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall ? Clear and concise written and verbal communication ? Innovative problem solver and proven risk management skills Personal Attributes ? Well organised and focused ? Diplomatic style ? Able to maintain dialogue in difficult situations ? Strong motivator ? Works independently, assuming increasing levels of responsibility and interfaces with all levels of technology and business management ?
