Summary
- Develop robot programs offline using PaintPRO
- Perform spray testing in the laboratory to determine the optimal application settings.
- Optimize the integration of application equipment, specifically bell atomizers and fluid delivery equipment for projects (e.g. optimize color change, ensure proper settings per system verification manual, etc.).
- Communicate and interface directly with Customer and Engineering Groups during lab demonstrations.
- Setup of paint lab equipment and paint panel preparation prior to the start of a test trial.
- Executing paint lab trials using defined design of experiment test plan.
- Measurement of paint quality data and proper usage of the measurement devices.
- Ability to record and interpret paint quality data such as film builds, defects, and color/quality.
- Complete lab documentation and reports
- If necessary, support modular build and/or customer site to aid the Process Engineering Department.
Experience you will need:
- Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in Electronics or Electronic Technician or minimum two or more years relevant experience
- Process experience in fluid delivery systems, rotary atomizer (bells) and spray gun applications.
- Strong Interpersonal skills with emphasis on satisfying the Customer.
- Understand and update engineering documentation, prints and/or schematics (layout, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic,).
- Some Basic Controls Knowledge
- Some knowledge of Automation.
- Use of paint film build, color, and quality measurement devices.
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Solid PC skills.
