JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, planning & analysis, and budgeting for Stradis Healthcare. Directly reports to the Sr. Manager, Finance of the KICS group. The individual will be responsible for supporting the reporting and analysis of monthly and quarterly accounting close.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with the local Finance leaders and business leadership team to support the financial reporting and analysis of the business
  • Pro-actively analyze profitability, sales growth, headcount and expenses, investigate unusual items and prepare monthly performance reports to management. Provide recommendations to management, based on sound financial understanding of the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow effect on business decisions
  • Update and maintain monthly reports used to analyze the financial results of the portfolio and prepare monthly variance commentary to understand the actual and projected results of the business. Identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities
  • Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly financial presentations to senior management
  • Participate in the annual budget process, manage financial projections and prepare year-over-year variance analyzes to ensure overall reasonableness of budget assumptions. Prepare analyses of year-over-year sales and operating income growth trends.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with finance team members within the portfolio as well as throughout the Henry Schein corporate organization.
  • Participate in special projects as needed

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • BS in Finance or Accounting required, and MBA preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Understanding of GAAP
  • Strong commitment to financial accuracy and data integrity is required
  • Expert Knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically Excel, required
  • Must possess an enthusiasm for identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience preferred
  • NetSuite, Alteryx, Power BI experience preferred

SCOPE:

  • Fully accountable for meeting the operating objectives of the department. Operate with latitude for independent action or decision. May play a role in high-level projects that have an impact on the function's future direction.

COMPLEXITY:

  • Increased breadth of responsibility and overall accountability (e.g. what-if analysis, finance, reporting, communication, etc.). Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives, including an understanding of current business trends. Full knowledge of multiple areas within sub-function derived from experience in non-management and manager level role(s). Focus on executing goals in an accurate and timely manner.

INTERACTION:

  • Regularly interact with senior management and/or customers on matters concerning several functional areas and/or other company divisions or units. Ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Typically, 7 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

  • Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Typically, to advance to a new job level, TSMs must demonstrate professional behavior and should consistently be at the high-end of meets expectations or consistently exceed expectations.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Travel typically less than 10%. Remote office environment. No special physical demands required.
