Position Summary:

As an Associate Manual Writer Specialist, you will be responsible for the oversight and development of Aircraft Inspections Manuals, and departmental Quality Assurance functions as assigned. This is a role with a flexible location; remote work or out of one of our office locations:

Main Responsibilities:

Develop and revise all Jet Aviation Aircraft Inspection Manuals (AIM)

Conducts manual review and audits as requested

Ensures all AIMs are correctly and accurately compliant with all regulations.

Ensures the MMEL / MEL / CDL / NEF for each assigned aircraft is current and notifies the

Designee of changes.

Interacts with aircraft computerized maintenance tracking program (CMTP) vendors to ensure changes to maintenance programs are timely, accurate and systems being used stay current with industry and regulatory best practices.

Leads and coordinates all AIM project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management

Assists with all conformity projects and team members to ensure compliance and service

Represents Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network

Minimum Requirements:

2-3 years relevant training/ technical experience (i.e., manual writing, project management training)

Working knowledge and understanding of aviation industry

Strong communication skills, computer skills, and service orientation

Must have prior experience with manual writing programs

Extraordinary customer focus

Desired Characteristics:

College level degree preferred

Civil or Military Aviation background or equivalent technical training / experience preferred

Experience with Maintenance Steering Group (MSG-3) and Maintenance Review Board

Reports (MRBR) related to aircraft mx programs preferred

Willingness and ability to make decisions

Sound and accurate judgement

Accurate and thorough; focus on continuous improvement in processes and performance

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
