The Product Owner is responsible for maintaining a prioritized backlog of features and user stories for the home delivery & specialty pharmacy system (IRIS and Pharmacy Central); ensuring that your scrum team understands the experiences being impacted to design the best solution with quality. In addition to working closely with your scrum team, the product owner also works with the capability manager and business stakeholders to gain an understanding of the needs and provide expert knowledge and input about your product. Using a curious mindset and an openness to ideas, you will shape your product to best support the business needs of the capability.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Planning:
- Maintain a prioritized Product backlog consisting of features and user stories that align to business value and need
- Work with the scrum team to assign size and value of features and user stories to inform roadmaps and delivery plans
- Execution:
- Practical execution of Agile Scrum principles and practices
- Partners with Capability Manager to understand member and employee experiences to identify features
- Shares and decomposes Features into user stories with the scrum team
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer and product needs
- Recognizes the voice of the customer (operations, member and business stakeholders)
- Works closely with Capability Manager to inform on delivery plans and understanding business priorities
- Engage in all agile ceremonies (refinement, retrospectives, planning, etc.) at the capability level and the scrum team level
- Ensures traceability between requirements to user stories to Features to Capability
- Review and formal acceptance of test cases against user stories acceptance criteria
- Working closely with the capability manager, re-prioritize the Product Backlog
- Defect management with the scrum team
- Communication:
- Communicate and track risks to work; working with the scrum master to remove impediments to the scrum team
- Share priority and delivery plans with capability manager
- Communicate to the scrum team ensuring an understanding priorities and the value of the work
- Understand product solution designs to articulate how the business needs are being met and answer questions about the product

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years experience as a product owner, product manager or similar role working in a technical environment or with technical teams
- 2+ years working with cross-functional teams in a large matrixed organization
- Proven experience systematically analyzing problems, drawing relevant conclusions, and devising appropriate courses of action
- Experience influencing stakeholders and management to decisions (willing to ask questions with curiosity and drive to understanding)
Preferred Qualifcations:
- Experience with Oracle
- Experience with pharmacy systems and/or processes
- Experience working with Agile scrum
- Knowledge in Aha and Rally

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
