Matriculate empowers teams of undergraduates to provide free virtual college advising to high-achieving high school juniors and seniors from low-income backgrounds. Equipped with more than 50 hours of training, undergraduate
Advising Fellows provide the information, guidance, and support that these high school students need to apply to, gain admission at, and excel in the best institutions. Matriculate is working to build an America in which all talented students have a fair shot at top colleges and universities long reserved primarily for the elite.

Matriculate is a founding partner of Bloomberg Philanthropies' college access and success initiative called CollegePoint, which aims to help as many as 65,000 students to apply to, enroll in, and graduate from the best colleges and universities.

Position Overview: Matriculate seeks a strong candidate to serve as an Associate, Revenue. The Associate will support the revenue team in raising financial support for the organization to achieve its goals. To do this, the Associate research prospective donors, track progress with current and prospective donors, own the systems and processes of revenue documentation, tracking, and reconciliation, and provide support on external communications and event management.

This position requires drive and passion for our mission, paired with an enthusiasm to engage external stakeholders on Matriculate’s mission. The successful candidate will thrive in a highly collaborative environment, possess excellent time and project management skills, be highly data-driven, and be committed to continuous learning.

This position will report to the Manager of Revenue and regularly engage with other members of Matriculate’s Revenue Team (including the Director of
Revenue, Manager of Earned Revenue, and CEO).

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Position Responsibilities: The Associate, Revenue will work with the Manager, Revenue on initiatives including, but not limited to, the following:

Prospect Research and Meeting Preparation

• Identify potential funders and maintain an organizational database via Salesforce
• Support Development Team members on meeting preparation, including conducting basic research, material creation, and pitch suggestions
• Support Revenue Team on cultivation and stewardship of current donors and prospects (i.e. email drafting, activity and task tracking)

Revenue Documentation, Acknowledgment, and Reconciliation

• Track all incoming revenue and backup in designated systems
• Generate and process acknowledgment letters
• Support systems management, including document storage
• Liaise with finance team to reconcile monthly revenue

Relationship and Event Management

• Propose conferences, donor cultivation moments, and program events
• Manage event logistics, RSVPs, and attendee tracking
• Identify program participants who would like to share their experience with Matriculate’s work and facilitate program participant and funder conversations

Media and External Communications

• Create materials that highlight Matriculate’s mission, impact, and strategic goals
• Support social media initiatives
• Conduct outreach to mission-aligned media outlets
• Identify and prepare program participants head of media engagements and social media features
• Coordinate travel and meetings for the revenue team, as necessary

Candidate Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

• A deep commitment to Matriculate’s mission
• A bachelor’s degree
• One or more years of professional experience with demonstrated success, ideally in any of the following: Fundraising, Research, Project management, Community organizing, Youth development

• Appetite to work independently and manage competing priorities within an adapting organization
• Clarity and concision in writing, editing, and verbal communications
• Willingness to engage in one-on-one or group discussions with funders, partners, and program participants
• Superlative attention to detail
• High degree of self-direction and focus on execution
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge quickly
• Strong command of Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Google Hangouts
• Willingness to travel domestically in urban and rural areas, pending health and safety conditions and organizational need

• Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary, following anticipated program schedule and with early notice
• Design skills and familiarity with Salesforce a plus

Location: New York, NY. Matriculate’s staff are currently remote until we are able to safely re-open a physical office in 2022. When we do reopen, all staff will be hybrid, working remotely and in person.

Compensation: Salary range of $59,085 - $66,000, commensurate with experience. In addition,
Matriculate offers a comprehensive benefits package.
