Family Law Attorney

Our growing law firm is looking to hire an experienced family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now!

Compensation:

$120,000+

Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
  • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed
  • Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process
  • Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
  • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases

  • You are committed to the practice of excellence in family law
  • You know how to move a case forward and how to get a case from beginning to completion, and how to strategize for the client's specific, tailored goals with minimal supervision. You will still receive support from other attorneys for collaboration, mentoring if needed, and balancing out workloads/vacations
  • You are proactive and resourceful. You don’t have all the answers, but you know how to issue spot, make suggestions, and where to seek answers
  • You have a broad-based practice that entails experience in the division of assets, custody, settlement, and litigation. High-asset experience is not required but preferred
  • You have trial experience
  • You have exceptional interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
  • You pride yourself on excellent client control and feel comfortable giving clients realistic news
  • You ideally reside in Phoenix, but we are open to candidates living in throughout the state, including PST or MST, so long as you are able to travel to court appearances and meetings with clients as needed, which we cover

Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
  • Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred
  • Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association)
  • Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants
  • 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position

  • Minimum five years of experience practicing family law
  • Bar license in the state of Arizona
  • Willingness and ability to work remotely and complete tasks and assignments with attention to detail
  • High emotional intelligence and team player

We practice in the Maricopa County and Pinal County. We operate mostly remotely and have offices to work at or meet clients when needed from time to time. We have in-person off-sites and zoom meetings to promote team building and education.
