Manages or assists in conducting patient audiometric testing, fitting, adjustment, repair, and builds and retains patient base to increase hearing aid sales..

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs basic comprehensive exams/Assisting with Pediatric evaluations
• Prepares patient for VEMP, VNG and EP testing.
• Completes equipment maintenance and daily calibration checks.
• Ensures exam room equipment is checked for functionality.
• Runs electro acoustic analysis of incoming hearing aids prior to fitting or return to the patient.
• Performs Tympanometry, reflex testing and reflex decay.
• Gathers all items to be dispensed with a new hearing aid (batteries, dry aid kit, accessories)
• Prepares patients for impressions.
• Enters patient and audiometric information into appropriate system.
• Ensures test results and sorted, recorded and clinical information systems are accessed appropriately.
• Testing documentation procedures are completed.
• Maintains appropriate medical record documentation for each hearing aid testing.
• Generates monthly reports from Practice Navigator software.
• Provides hearing aid orientation and counseling services.
• Receives walk-in patients with hearing aid problems.
• Assists with retrieval of patient information from electronic data systems or other sources are performed as needed.
• Notifies patients of audiologist orders when appropriate.
• Assists with other departments when requested.
• Triages patient inquiries and refers to appropriate person.
• Informs patients of needed requirements before testing.
• Notifies patients when co-payments and deductibles are required for testing procedures.

Required Education and Experience

• High School graduate or equivalent
• One year of related experience
• Evidence of competency-based training

Schedule Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8am-5pm
