Job description
Essential Duties:
Post fuel deliveries and reconcile to invoice daily.- Post A/R transactions.
- Post approved general ledger entries to the companies’ accounting system.
- Reconcile Sub-Ledgers with the General Ledger.
- Reconcile transactions through a comparison of reported information to data entered in the accounting system and to supporting documentation.
- Review, analyze and verify daily retail reports.
- Assist in the close of each accounting period (month/year) on a timely basis.
- Support of the annual financial audit by external CPAs.
Additional Duties:
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in business administration or accounting; or Associate’s degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in accounting.- Working experience in a retail environment (preferably convenience store).
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with an automated accounting system.
- Good math skills, organization ability and attention to detail are necessary.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Initiate & follow through with all tasks, assignments and job duties in a timely manner
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, managers and co-workers.
