Auto Body – Collision Estimator
The CARSTAR Collision Repair Center in Chicago (North Side) is currently hiring for an auto body collision estimator.
The Estimator is responsible for greeting customers, providing accurate automotive repair estimates and asking for the sale. The position also includes communication with insurance adjusters and customers throughout the repair process and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Collision Repair Estimator will:
· Greet customers
· Inspect, analyze and evaluate damaged vehicles
· Provide an accurate written estimate of damage and manage all work authorizations, repair orders, supplements and warranties
· Explain CARSTAR warranty and quality control processes to customers
· Achieve close ratio of 80% (estimates written vs. sold)
· Handle communication with insurance adjusters, customers, and production staff throughout the repair process
· Inspect and approve completed repairs before delivery to customer
· Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
Work schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and every other Saturday 9:00 a.m. to noon
Required Experience
· Minimum of 6 years prior experience as a collision estimator or insurance appraiser
· Prior damage analysis experience (inclusive of hybrid vehicles, restraint systems, electrical systems)
· Experience with collision management systems (CCC One)
· Fluent in use of CCC-1 estimating software
· I-Car training or other industry training preferred
· Strong sales and negotiation skills; customer focused and quality driven; strong organizational skills a must
· Valid driver's license required
