Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven General Manager for our heavy truck dealership located in South Bend, Indiana! Duties for the general manager will include coordinating business operations, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, and engaging with vendors. Excellent communication skills and superior knowledge of business functions are required skills for this position.

Responsibilities

• The Branch Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the dealership, as well as collaborates with Sales, Service, Parts, and Body Shop Managers to help strengthen existing and develop new customer and employee relationships
• Works consistently and successfully with department managers to plan and develop goals and objectives for service, sales, parts, and body shop departments
• Assessing and continuously managing departments to ensure department goals and target revenues are met or exceeded
• Assist in developing and executing a strategic plan to achieve monthly and annual forecasts
• Manage operational programs and costs to maintain and increase profits
• Communicate, enforce, and monitor company processes to ensure high customer satisfaction
• Follow and ensure company safety rules and regulations are followed properly
• Build a successful, dynamic, diverse, and high performing team through employee training and development
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training of new team members
• Set goals and expectations that drive productivity through teamwork, respect, and willingness to help and support others
• Follow and enforce company policies and procedures
• Coordinate and lead daily communications and monthly branch management meetings
• Resolve any issues or concerns that may arise
• Demonstrate a professional attitude, conduct, and appearance
• Perform other assignments and duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong demonstrated experience as a successful Manager in the transportation industry or similar, such as construction, agriculture, equipment, or energy industries is required
