Aviation Materials Support Clerk job description:
- Perform annual, full-scale inventory assessments to identify missing inventory and items to be ordered.
- Safely utilize rolling ladders to retrieve items from the stockroom on hard-to-reach shelves.
- Organize and sort items on shelving units, bins and displays according to company standards.
- Monitor and report any missing or lost inventory to management.
- Accurately confirm all incoming shipments by comparing the invoice to the contents of the order, to ensure all inventory is accounted for and in excellent condition.
- Monitor all incoming materials for quality and accountability.
- Ensures proper documentation and record keeping for all parts
- Provides proper security for parts and tooling inventory
- Oversees and coordinates parts department activities
- Assure parts min/max levels are maintained
- Maintain parts handling requirements
- Provide report on parts availability and root cause for any issues/failures
- Research and order consumables
- Perform shipping and receiving as required
- Ensure accountability for parts and tooling
- Performs cycle counts and responsible for inventory
- Performs receiving inspections
- All other duties as assigned by the Materials Manager.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Must live in, or in the process of relocating to the Greater Memphis TN, metro area.
- Able to work well under pressure and exercise sound judgment and discretion.
- Effective time management in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean background
- Warehouse and shipping/receiving experience required
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be detail-oriented, able to develop and maintain highly organized work environment, and able to effectively prioritize
- Must be able to meet physical requirement of lifting 30 lbs.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
