Awake Overnight RA, Schedule Sunday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Remain awake for the entire shift and to provide support to individuals in the house as needed.
• Complete overnight checklists and reports as outlined by each individual’s service plan and/or behavior plan.
• Work as a member of a team to maintain a clean, safe, positive living environment for each individual who lives at the residence including completing laundry and cleaning assignments  Assist in the development and implementation of each individual’s residential ISP/IEP and daily activity schedule.
• Implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans for individuals who live in the home.
• Assist in record keeping and report writing, as assigned.
• Provide supervision of all individuals while under his/her care.  Administer and record individuals’ medications, in compliance with MAP.
• Able to transport individuals to various locations.
• Provide direct supervision and care to individuals, including 1:1 responsibilities at all times and locations.
• Participate in any meetings pertaining to assigned individuals or program planning, as directed.
• Engage in de-escalation of individuals.
• Able to attend training as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Demonstrated evidence of mature judgment, good interpersonal skills, a desire to enrich individuals' lives and a willingness to learn from skilled professionals.
• Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals who have limited cognition and complex needs
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is an essential function of the job.
• Pass Guild Driving test to access Guild vehicles for transportations of individuals.
• The ability to implement crisis intervention techniques as necessary, including Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (via certification through CPI).
• The ability to assist individuals in evacuation from the residence

Qualifications:

• A minimum of an Associate's Degree is preferred; prior experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
• A valid driver's license
• Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check requirements.
• MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification or the ability to obtain MAP certification within first 90 days of employment
• Reliable transportation to residential homes located in Massachusetts
