Simple Technology Solutions is looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to add to our team.

The role:

In this role the candidate will be involved in new cloud architecture designs, resulting in robust, reliable and secure cloud platform solutions. As part of the team, you will be expected to participate in cloud architecture and implementation efforts, interface with customers, other team members and vendors. This position is designed for someone who has Full Stack experience and wants to focus on infrastructure, integration, and engineering within a fast-paced, leading technology services provider.

The Azure Cloud Engineer at STS will:

• Maintain and operate services and resources within multiple Cloud Service Provider environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Utilize modern business methods and performance measurement techniques
• Provide technical direction to personnel performing systems analysis and system/ subsystem development tasks
• Coordinate and perform logical and physical systems design
• Review and prepare system documents and specifications
• Prepare reports, studies, and documentation, deliver presentations, and participate in meetings
• Be prepared to provide sound advice as to prioritizing projects or tasks and when to delay
• Change and Configuration Management best practices
• Enforce quality standards for engineered solutions and promote continuous improvement
• Implement enterprise cloud security, including default governance and compliance standards
• Develop and implement automated scripting, ensuring compliance with organizational regulations
• Support a Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Deployment (CD) pipeline, and participating in cross-team projects
• Determine, develop, or manage technical solutions for cloud, hybrid-based cloud, and distributed enterprise environments
• Recommends cloud-specific solutions for customer requirements
• Directs and/or supports design of solutions for enterprise cloud environments
• Develop or engineer cloud service provider solutions

Education and Experience:

Required

• Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years of additional position related experience can be substituted for a degree
• 5+ years of integration, systems analysis, or programming experience
• 3+ years of developing systems requirements and design specifications in Azure
• Experience collaborating with technical teams of diverse IT related skill sets
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of Azure cloud and deploying in Government environments.
• Exemplary communication, analytical skills, and technical knowledge across the client environment.
• Experience working with web applications, either client-side or server-side
• Experience deploying and administering any type of web applications (.Net, Angular, PHP, Ruby, node.js, etc...)
• Hands-on scripting expertise in at least one mainstream scripting language (i.e Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, etc.

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Other Certificates supporting Microsoft technologies
