Position Overview

The Bakery Manager is an integral member of the Proof Bakery team: Working in close collaboration with the Director of baking operations. This role is responsible for the exemplary execution of a diverse and creative array of pastry and bread offerings served at hundreds of premiere events annually. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-energy, diverse and collaborative environment and will support and inform the creative direction and growth of the team and the Proof Bakery brand.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Expertly communicate and encourage fellow Proof Bakery team members. Plan, organize and coordinate daily team member responsibilities through production scheduling to ensure goals and objectives are met and exceeded.
  • Quality Control: Maintain exemplary culinary quality control at all times within ServSafe guidelines: Ensure all offerings are properly prepared, packaged and served in a way that is visually stunning while upholding the integrity of all recipes.
  • Inventory and Invoice Management: Conduct a weekly inventory of goods and order tracking through computer systems and software’s.
  • Collaborations: Effectively communicate with team members and external and internal chefs about day to day operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 year experience in a creative, bakery setting strongly preferred
  • Large volume bakery experience strongly preferred
  • Associates Degree or Certificate in Pastry Arts OR equivalent work experience in both bread and pastries is strongly preferred
  • Serve Safe/Allergen Certified or willingness to obtain certification required
  • Available to work select evening, weekend and holiday’s based on the seasonal event schedule
