Overview


As the Banquet Chef you will…
  • Report to the Executive Chef & General Manager of location
  • Have 3+ years of high-volume banquet management experience
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of banquet business operations and financials
  • Review banquet event orders (BEO’s) on a daily basis and make note of any changes
  • Create memorable banquet experiences by exceeding guest expectations
  • Demonstrate ingredient knowledge and understanding of culinary trends
  • Assist in sales, strategies & catering with banquets, parties and other special events
  • Supervises and coordinates all activities of banquet kitchen staff
  • Able to coordinate banquet production and plating with the Executive Chef
  • Ensure adherence to recipes, safety practices and sanitation standards in the kitchen
  • Understand POS systems and inventory control systems
  • Review sales and food cost with the Executive Chef to ensure that the banquet kitchen is meeting budgeted costs
  • Coach, lead and develop banquet chef team
  • Briefing banquet kitchen staff about the upcoming functions, and driving continuous improvement
  • Consistent with banquet menu innovation and plating
  • Work collaboratively with entire chef team for ordering and scheduling needs
  • Maintain food safety & organization of assigned banquet spaces
