We are a leading wholesale coffee roasting company seeking an experienced and talented Professional Coffee Roaster to join our team. As a Professional Coffee Roaster, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality roasted coffee that meets the diverse needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain commercial coffee roasting equipment to produce consistent and high-quality roasted coffee.
• Source and select green coffee beans based on their quality, origin, and flavor profiles.
• Develop and execute roast profiles for different grades, varieties, and blends of coffee.
• Monitor and control roast time, temperature, and airflow to achieve desired flavor profiles and roast levels.
• Conduct regular cupping and quality control tests to ensure consistency and excellence in the roasting process.
• Collaborate with our coffee sourcing team to identify and procure new and unique coffees.
• Maintain inventory of roasted coffee beans and track production yields and costs.
• Assist in the development of new coffee blends and products.
• Follow established food safety and quality assurance protocols.
• Clean and maintain roasting equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as a professional coffee roaster, preferably in a wholesale or specialty coffee roasting environment.
• Extensive knowledge of different coffee grades, varieties, and blends.
• Strong understanding of the coffee roasting process, including roast development, heat transfer, and chemical reactions.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot commercial coffee roasting equipment.
• Proficiency in cupping and sensory evaluation techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules, as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3,500.00 - $6,000.00 per month
