With locations throughout southern Massachusetts, our clinical team is made up of highly experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Speech and Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), proficient in using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to change the lives of children and teens with ASD and their families.


GENERAL SUMMARY

The role of the ABA Therapist is to provide 1:1 direct services to clients with an Autism Spectrum Disorder in the home, school, or clinical setting using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The ABA Therapist is responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans under the close ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*

  • Implementation of all teaching plans and programs developed by the supervising BCBA
  • Work directly with clients, providing Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) and Natural Environmental Teaching (NET)
  • Collection of data for each goal/objective during each session or as frequently as defined in the ABA treatment plan
  • Follow behavior plans as designed by the supervising BCBA
  • Act as an ambassador for Proven Behavior Solutions and the industry; maintain a professional and cooperative relationship with client’s caregiver(s)
  • Communicate any clinical or family concerns to immediate supervisor in a timely manner
  • Participate in regular staff training
  • Attendance at monthly team and staff meetings
  • Completion of daily client notes

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Social Work, Speech-Language Pathology, or related field preferred
  • At least two years experience working with children preferred
  • Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong organizational skills
