MLCHC is seeking a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) to join our Behavioral Health team!
The BHC works as a team member and delivers brief, consultation-based services, provides culturally relevant counseling, interventions, and education for patients and families. The BHC works with individuals, groups, and families, providing evidence-based behavioral interventions for both mental and physical health conditions. The care provided will assist in improving health and behavioral health outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities
- Provides a range of behavioral health services to a high volume of patients of all ages via several different visit types (e.g., individual, group, co-visits, etc.).
- Provides a range of services to PCPs and their treatment teams.
- Participates in program development and implementation.
- This position requires an independent license to practice in a health care setting, such as a PhD/PsyD in psychology, a Masters's in social work, or a Masters in counseling.
- Advanced organizational skills, in order to organize projects or the work of others.
- Individual development of priorities for the effective performance of duties, including re-prioritization in response to changes in circumstances.
- Employees are able to effectively select from both established alternatives and to modify approaches in response to situations encountered.
- Work requires consideration of the way the work affects other employees outside the department or functional area.
- Duties require drawing conclusions using inference and logic, which may be different than the conclusions that could be drawn by others.
- Consistently exhibits all of the Moses Lake Community Health Center’s Service Standards with patients and co-workers and contributes to a work environment that is supportive and values the contributions of each individual.
- Must have reliable transportation and provide documentation of auto insurance and valid driver’s license as required.
