Your day.

As a Behavioral Health Specialist with us, you need to know how to:

• Provide comprehensive intake examinations and behavioral health assessments, and determine accurate DSM-5/ICD-10 diagnoses based on clinical information.
• Provide behavioral health services to individuals, couples, families and groups, using a variety of treatment approaches and tools.
• Make appropriate referrals for patients needing services outside the scope of the immediacy of primary care.
• Maintain complete and timely clinical records on all clients.
• Provide consultation to other staff members as requested and participate in staffing of cases.
• Provide consultation and education services to individuals, agencies, institutions and groups as assigned.
• Participate in staff training and attend staff meetings.
• Review client files to assess dangerousness and violence evaluation of family violence referrals.
• Make referrals to a variety of social services and medical resources as needed.
• Participate in the screening process of new referrals to the department as needed.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• Masters in Social Work (MSW)
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a related field
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire (with prior approval)

Preferred:

• Current LCSW in the state of Montana or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire
