Behavioral Specialist (Residential Transitional Services Team)
REPORTS TO: Program Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Community Housing Support Teams
HOURS: 35 Hours per week
Behavioral Specialist works at the Medford Office ( Sunday-Thursday; Sunday flex, Monday & Tuesday 1-9, Wednesday and Thursday 9-5)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in Human Services, license preferred, with two years’ experience working with persons with psychiatric disabilities. Clean valid NY State Driver’s License. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from NYS Office of Mental Health.
JOB FUNCTION:
Provide supportive counseling, restorative services, and crisis intervention to people with psychiatric disabilities in supportive scattered site residential programs or those in preparation for more independent housing.
