Who we are:
Operations include GCC Energy an underground coal mine (King II) in Hesperus, CO. Producing coal for use in the manufacturing of cement we serve a niche market with a bright future. High quality coal in strong demand, long term reserves and excellent working conditions. Located in beautiful Southern Colorado the mine is in close proximity to Durango CO, Bayfield CO Farmington NM, Cortez CO and Mancos CO among other areas. This area is an outdoor lover’s paradise. Experience & abilities you will need:

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two years working in underground coal mine around underground belts / conveyor systems.
• Need to have your MSHA 32-hour training.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.
• Ability to follow specific instructions while maintaining acceptable established standards of work performance and conduct, show the necessary and consistent energy, as well as acceptable mental and physical dexterity, for the satisfactory completion of the main responsibilities as summarized and defined.

What you will do:
The Beltman Operator will control or tend conveyors or conveyor systems that move materials or products to and from stockpiles, processing stations, departments or vehicles.

• Observes conveyor operations and monitor lights, dials, and gauges to maintain specified operating levels and to detect equipment malfunctions.
• Load, unload or adjust materials or products on conveyors by hand, by using lifts, hoists and scoops or by opening gates, chutes or hoppers.
• Repair or replace equipment components or parts such as blades, rolls and pumps. Substitute mine equipment operators on an as needed basis.
• Conduct all work activities in compliance with Federal and State coal mining laws and Company policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

Pay rate is $20.00 to $31.00 per hour. Will start off through staffing agency.
