Overview

Job Highlights

• Act as a key advisor and subject matter expert on USAP Benefit policies, programs, practices, and serve as a resource/consultant.
• Escalates more complex issues as appropriate and maintains records of all interactions.
• Serves as a representative for all USAP Benefits initiatives.
• Support and provide educational opportunities on SOPs, guidelines, and internal published materials to perpetual self-service amongst USAP employees during phone and electronically in writing through email and other correspondence with employees.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Skilled in benefit plans procedures and processes
• Ability to understand and deal with regional issues
• Understanding of benefit best practices and current regulations
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and computer skills, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities, strong time management
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional management without formal reporting relationships
• Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to analyze and synthesize information in a concise manner and to make recommendations on strategies to resolve issues
• Comprehensive benefits subject matter expertise in the areas of medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, time off plans, disability, and voluntary benefits
• Strong Word, Excel and Power point preferred

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Answer calls and respond with assistance and/or triage in system. Address all tickets, resolve and/or triage. Audit, approve and triage all special requests. Support and assist with HR Tools.
• Assist in Benefit Team projects, adhoc reporting and testing.
• Ability to offer proactive assistance with processes, procedures and programs.
• Continuous process improvement and automation projects support

Education/Licensing/Certification:

• 
  Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting or Finance, preferred.
• Minimum 1-3 years Human Resources and/or Benefits experience OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• 
  Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Workday experience preferred.
• Shared Services Center background is preferred.
