Job description
Bilingual (English/Spanish) Development Assistant to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will work with the Executive Director and the Senior Team to manage the financial systems and invoices; help to ensure compliance and consistency with grants and contracts; serve as an assistant to the operations manager; be extremely detailed oriented and work to ensure that standards are being met and complied with regarding state mandates and regulations. This position will become an integral member of the Valley Voices team by overseeing administrative processes to facilitate building a sustainable working environment. Candidate must have fiscal and contract experience to assist in building, implementing and sustaining our work.
Duties and Responsbilities are listed but not limited to:
- Regularly manage financial systems and invoices with our financial software.
- Review all grants and contracts for compliance in state mandated regulations.
- Manage all grants and contracts on a database.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Speak and interact with the public daily as well as attend events specifically for Community Outreach.
- Compile, write and present financial reports to the Valley Voices Board of Directors and the Executive Director.
- Work independently with general supervision.
- Be responsible for attending events as assigned by the Executive Director and the Senior Team.
- Be flexible as the schedule requires.
- Assist the Executive Director and Senior Team with other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with coursework in Accounting, Business Administration or closely related field. OR A minimum of five years of related work experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
Part time to start, with a minimum of 25 hours per week. Room for growth to include full time with benefits if candidate is willing to also fulfill community outreach position.
