COMPENSATION: $22.21/hourly ($36,957 annually), Non-exempt

NOTE: This position is part of a union-represented bargaining unit. The compensation, benefits, and conditions of work for this position are collectively bargained.

CAP is excited to announce that we are currently hiring a 0.8 FTE (32hrs) Bilingual MAI Latinx Health & Housing Services Specialist. The Bilingual MAI Latinx Health & Housing Services Specialist works with the staff and management of Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) to provide high-quality, coordinated, strengths-based social services consistent with the agency’s mission. This individual works in CAP’s Housing and Support Services department to provide healthcare systems navigation (0.5 FTE) and emergency rent assistance (0.3 FTE) to people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) who are Latinx/a/o.

Responsibilities include: assessing client needs and adherence to HIV medications on a regular basis; supporting clients in building health literacy skills; providing information and referral; developing individual goal plans and assisting clients in carrying out the activities to achieve their goals; completing and processing CAP emergency rent assistance applications; mediation and direct communication with landlords; completing forms, and entering data into agency databases in a timely and accurate manner. The Temporary Rent Assistance Specialist works collaboratively and communicates effectively with clients, volunteers, CAP staff, and community partners. Other duties as assigned.

This position will report to the Manager of Short-Term Housing & MAI Services and work closely with the MAI Latino Services Navigator and Emergency Rent Assistance Coordinator. The person in this position is stationed in the CAP Davis St office but will travel occasionally throughout the five-county service area for meetings. Evening and weekend work are sometimes required. This is a non-management, union-represented position.
