Primary Responsibilities:

• Ability to work remote or onsite depending on location
• This role will be in charge of importing all the payment files and separating them for the core mountain west and Optum 360 impact 2.7M dollars receivables every month.
• Provide clerical support to management or departmental staff in an accurate and service-oriented communication style.
• Proactively supports efforts that ensure payment posting team deliverables meet deadlines.
• This role will be responsible for reconciling payments (credit card, check, ACH) with the internal system database.
• Download all the payment support documentation and allocate them in the correct files for posting purposes.
• Review reconciling items monthly and follow up on any unusual items.
• Research and retrieve missing EOBs or EOPs payments to post them promptly.
• Communicate with insurances, patients, and government institutions to request payment support documentation and follow-up or financial hardship plans.
• Problem-solving-oriented and team collaboration skills.
• Fast-learner.

Required Qualifications:

• An education level of at least a high school diploma or GED
• 1+ years of Medical Billing experience within an office setting, with experience in charge entry, payment entry and AR follow-up
• Experience with and understanding of CPT, ICD-10 coding
• Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system application
• Microsoft office experience – Excel and Word
• Data Entry experience – Ability to type 45 wpm
• Customer service experience
• Phone operation experience
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Available to work 40 hours per week and overtime as required according to the needs of the business

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive

Colorado or Nevada Residents Only : The hourly range for Colorado residents is $16.00 to $20.38. The hourly range for Nevada residents is $16.00 to $22.45.
