Position: Billing Dispute Analyst

Job Description:

The Billing Dispute Analyst is responsible for reviewing customer invoicing disputes utilizing many different Forward Air systems to analyze and resolve the dispute. This position must be able to effectively maintain accounting procedures such as accuracy and detail as well as carry out assigned projects to their completion.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Compare and review all billing documents to the shipment information in the AS400 and infa.net system
• Review customer billing disputes ranging from rate issues, documentation issues, system errors, etc
• Break down any Forward Air billing, manifests, master airway bills, supporting documents or pod documents for comparison
• Utilize the quoting system, tracking and scanning system and rate agreements/contracts to verify shipment discrepancies
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products including; Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

• Ability to acquire working knowledge of trucking industry – sales and operations

Skills:

• Ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic
• Math and problem solving
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate well with other business functions
• Experience with excel and basic accounting
• Experience with AS400 operating systems is a plus
• Ability to utilize many different software packages
• Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus
• Ability to recognize ongoing issues and communicate those effectively with management, collections, sales and operations
