Description:

The full-time RCM Billing Specialist position will ensure timely and accurate billing to all payers; to review and analyze billing errors, avoidable write offs, identify patterns and correct issues as those arise.

What you will do:

  • Complete daily bill sign/billing and review for errors
  • Assist with resolving system issues and provide coverage for System Coordinator as needed
  • Review process to increase billing automation
  • Run reports for management/leadership as needed for review and decision making
  • Timely and accurate follow up to Payer Inbox
  • Review and distribute weekly error report to appropriate staff
  • Work daily Availity errors in error/edit management
  • Stay current on payer/policy procedure changes effecting billing processes and recommend appropriate changes

Requirements:
  • High School diploma
  • Certified Medical Coder certification preferred
  • Two years directly related work experience preferred
  • Two years of Nextgen experience preferred
  • Microsoft Suite experience required
  • Interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication, analytical/problem solving skills required
  • Maintains confidential information, works as a cooperative team member/player
