Bolton & Menk is growing, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Billing Specialist to join our Charlotte team! Bolton & Menk is a consulting engineering firm with over 70 years of experience serving the Upper Midwest and Southeast regions.

As a Billing Specialist, you will work directly with our project managers to invoice our clients in a timely and accurate manner. This position handles Accounts Payable duties such as coding, vouchering, and posting vendor invoices and employee expense reports. This position will be part of a 4-person accounting team and work closely with the Senior Billing Specialist.

What you will be doing:

• Maintains billing and project related functions to support stakeholders
• Processes client or third-party forms; DOT’s, EI final packaging & 3rd party compliance/mgmt. firms
• Prepares billing reviews, electronic invoicing and client invoices
• Responsible for filing related to projects and billing

What we are looking for:

• Two-year degree in Accounting with four years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working for a professional services firm.
• Experience with Deltek or Deltek Vision software a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
