Otak is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) manager to support the Architecture Studio in either our Denver, CO or Portland, OR office location. You will be responsible for developing and implementing BIM standards and best practices throughout the practice, and supporting teams in their project-specific BIM implementation. This position will provide the opportunity to expand our technical capabilities of the practice to meet innovative technologies of today and the future.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, motivated, and have a strong understanding of industry practices. This positions will work with project teams developing templates, library components, and custom families. Assist project teams in their use of BIM, educating Revit users, researching new technologies, establishing BIM360 procedures, and troubleshooting Revit models, and implementation issues.

What you'll do:

  • Assist in development, implementation, and enforcement of departmental standards and procedures for workflow, document creation, upkeep, archiving and graphic standards.
  • Research, evaluate, learn, and implement new software, third party plug-ins, or custom programming that advances design, rendering, and sustainability efforts.
  • Provide management, support, and training for new software and programming.
  • Develop training for new hires and ongoing training for current staff.
  • Provide support for project teams with day-to-day bugs, fixes, and issues.
  • Assist Otak IT department with Revit troubleshooting and implementation, including managing Autodesk 360 and relaying user needs.
  • Work with project teams to develop and implement project specific BIM execution plans.
  • Develop and maintain content and family libraries.
  • Develop and maintain Revit templates.
  • Assist project teams with initial model setup and ongoing troubleshooting.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Architecture or related field. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 8 years BIM experience in the field of Architecture or Engineering field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience documenting construction documents in CAD.
  • Expert comprehension of Revit and experience generating parametric families.
  • Proficiency in BIM 360, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit Plug/Add-ins, 3D Studio Max, Bluebeam, Lumion, and Enscape.
  • Advanced knowledge in Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, FormIt, or similar.
  • Skilled knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft 360.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required or an approved exception.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 per year
