Bindery Production Specialist

We are a locally owned printing, marketing and visual communications company that has been in business for 15 years. We offer services in branding and Identity, large format, direct marketing, signs, graphic design, print services and more.

What will you be doing?

As a team-member, you will assist in all aspects of the printing process, while minimizing waste and conserving the materials assigned to such machines or processes. Our Bindery Production Specialist will troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance as required. Additionally, candidate will maintain and contribute to a clean, organized, respectful and safe work environment.

Ideal Candidate will have experience operating and maintaining most or all of the equipment found in an digital printing shop. This may include the following: paper cutters, stitcher, folders, punches, drills, shrink wrap equipment, booklet making equipment, laminators and inkjet systems. Experience in large format such as, mounting posters, wall graphics, window graphics and vinyl banners is a plus.

What does it take to be successful as a signs and bindery production specialist?

• Ability to operate printing and/or bindery equipment provided in an safe, efficient and appropriate manner
• Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment
• Regularly reviews work to ensure quality standards are met
• Follows work flow and produces work as determined by the Production Scheduler
• Produces quality work. Quality is reviewed prior to packaging to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintains accurate counts and records and inventories
• Cleans, lubricates and maintains equipment to ensure optimum operation
• Completes Quality Assurance documents for each job
• Performs machine checks and reports any problems or necessary repairs to management

What are we looking for?

• 1-2 years’ experience working in a print shop and/or bindery
• Large format experience is preferred
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Reliability and attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience with wall graphic and sign instillation a plus
• Clean driving record and valid Texas drivers license and insurance required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
