POSITION DETAILS: Currently, Spectrix Analytical Services, LLC is searching for an analytical scientist with a strong background in bioanalytical quantitative analysis of drugs and their metabolites in biological fluids in a drug discovery environment using LC-MS/MS-based methods. The primary responsibilities include supporting routine analysis of bioanalytical pre-clinical samples by LC-MS/MS, along with performing sample preparation including the derivitization of small molecules using established methods, process the acquired data and summarize the results to meet the customers’ deadlines. The successful candidate must work relatively independently to meet short term goals and objectives. The job location is in the Princeton, NJ area. Strong instrument operating skills and computer proficiency, along with the ability to utilize multiple vendors’ formats are required. The applicant must be successful at reporting and communicating results efficiently and effectively to the customers.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a B.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or another physical science and have a minimum of 5 years experience or an MS with a minimum of 2 years of relative experience preferably in bioanalytical quantitation using LC-MS/MS-based methods, along with a proven background in LC and MS operation. LC-MS/MS method development skills required. Experience in handling biological samples such as whole blood, plasma, serum, urine and tissues. The ability to independently diagnose and solve technical problems are required. Candidates must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work well in a team oriented environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
