Sodexo’s growing Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Division is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I to support Healthcare Technology Management services at Wyckhoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Located on the border of Northern Brooklyn and Western Queens, Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is a 350-bed teaching hospital with a dedicated staff of 1,800 physicians, nurses, and support personnel that represent thirty-five distinct languages and cultures. Wyckoff Heights Medical Center has been providing medical care to the community since 1889.
The main responsibilities of the Biomedical Equipment Technician I will be to ensure all related biomedical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service and communications skills, as well as a strong technical skills and a commitment to deliver excellent repair services in an expedient manner.
The ideal Biomedical Equipment Technician I candidate should have:
- a minimum of 1 years' of experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices independently and/or academic training that is comparable
- experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
- an Associates Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Technology and/or related field experience utilizing Phillips Monitoring Systems is highly preferred
- the ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices
- excellent communication, customer service and time management skills
- the ability to work on-site in Sayre, PA
