Coordinate and perform electrochemical biosensor development activities to provide new or improved biosensor products.

Responsibilities

Design and development of metabolite sensing systems including design and development of enzyme and membrane chemistries utilized in the accurate measurement of target analyses

Provide expert data analysis, testing and evaluation of complex sensor/system designs, sensor manufacturing processes and techniques and patentable concepts

Develop and execute detailed design of experiments (DOE) and subsequent interpretation and presentation of experimental data by creating clear and concise summary reports

Responsible for regular oral and written communication relating to progress and performance of Sensors Development projects including compiling of weekly/monthly summaries

Key participant of interdisciplinary R&D team toward the development of novel sensor and membrane designs to support product development and innovation efforts

Represent the company as a recognized expert in the area of biomedical sensors and continue to maintain expertise in the field by reading technical journals, attending seminars and maintaining memberships in professional organizations

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Biochemical, Electrochemistry or Engineering Sciences or equivalent

2+ years of work experience

Experience in the area of biomedical sensor design and development

Preferred Qualifications

MS or PhD degree in Chemical, Biochemical, Electrochemistry or Engineering Sciences or equivalent

Medical device industry experience
