Chelsea Piers, Manhattan's premier destination for sports and entertainment, is located on a 30- acre waterfront between 17th and 23rd Streets along the Hudson River. The Field House at Chelsea Piers is Manhattan's top location for gymnastics, team sports, and league play. Facilities include the largest gymnastics training center in New York City, two hardwood basketball courts, two artificial-turf playing fields, four batting cages, dance studios, and a climbing wall designed especially for children, teens, and adult beginners.

The Field House is looking for energetic and fun assistants for weekend events for gymnastics parties. We welcome candidates to apply who are looking for flexible weekend work. Candidates should be passionate about working with children, and possess excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in facilitating sports activities for kids, teens, and adults during weekend birthday parties and events.
• Maintain a safe, engaging, and fun environment at all times.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and encouragement to guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to work at least five weekend days a month.
• A minimum of one year of experience coaching/instructing/working with children between the ages of 2-13 and/or young adults.
• Experience as a coach or participant gymnastics is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
• Punctual and dependable with ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner at all times.
• An outgoing, energetic personality and enjoy working in a team environment.
