Position Overview:

Willis Automotive is seeking a reliable, motivated, self starting Body Shop Technician for our Collision Center!

What we need from you:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training program preferred
• 3 years experience performing body repair preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information including vendor catalogs
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by company insurance provider
• Ability to operate standard and manual transmissions
• Working knowledge of proper use of hand-tools, power tools and other machinery
• Ability to demonstrate above-average mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of computer and Internet programs

• Ability to perform complex problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Review damage reports and plan work
• Inspect cars for structural damage, additional damage and report supplements to assigned estimator
• Remove damaged body parts, including bumpers, fenders, hoods, grills and trim
• Realign car frames and chassis to repair structural damage
• Hammer out or patch dents, dimples and other minor body damage
• Fit, attach and weld replacement parts into place
• Complete post-repair inspection following standard operating procedures
• Maintain a clean work area; apply dust control, remove trash, spray down floor, etc.
• Assist other technicians with related work as needed

• Execute relocation of cars per Snow Plan as needed
