Job description
This position will assist in all aspects of Box Office Operations for Fair Park Dallas including Cotton Bowl Stadium, Fair Park Coliseum, and other applicable venues on the Fair Park campus. This position will assist in implementing policy and procedures for the department and will oversee part-time ticket service specialists.
Responsibilities:- Implement the internal controls of daily operations for the Box Office.
- Assist in the collaboration with ticketing partner to build events in the ticketing system and coordinate all applicable event information between the promoter, facility personnel, and the ticketing partner.
- Manage internal and external ticket requests for events, including, but not limited to staff, players, coaches, artists, and promotors.
- Maintain files for each event that consists of seat hold for the venue, promotor, comps, and event audits, and ticket inventory schedules for historical referencing.
- Respond to customer concerns and service requests to maintain a positive rapport with the ticket buying public.
- Investigates questions and problems related to ticket sales and develops solutions for the general public, event promoters, Box Office personnel and management.
- Responsible for interviewing, selecting, training, evaluating and supervision of part time employees.
- Creates distributes monthly part time schedule and updates timekeeping system (ADP)
- Lead and empower staff to take opportunities to make memorable experiences and/or resolve guest concerns timely, effectively, and with great service.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a Box Office required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Box Office environment in the Sports and Entertainment industry required.
- Passion for customer service and providing an exceptional product to elevate the guest experience.
- Detail-orientated, driven self-motivator with strong work ethic to get the job done.
- Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work productively in an unstructured environment with frequent interruptions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of ticketing software (Paciolan highly desired), Box Office management, and technological trends is a plus.
- Excellent computer and data manipulation skills, including Microsoft Office and intermediate to advanced Excel skills highly desired.
- Flexible work schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
